Picking up Your Refund at our Office?

Check to see if your refund has arrived at our office by using our Refund Status Tool below.

Where is My Federal Refund?

While the IRS states they issue 9 out of 10 refunds within three weeks, in some cases they may require additional review or take more time to issue a refund. If the wait seems longer this year, you may want to review reasons for a delayed tax refund or why it could be held or reduced.

  • May Include Errors
  • Is Incomplete
  • Is affected by identity theft or fraud*
  • Has an Earned Income Tax Credit
  • Has an Additional Child Tax Credit
  • Has an Injured Spouse Allocation
  • Needs further review in general
If the IRS requests more information from you, they will contact you through a letter with detailed instructions on your next steps.

*If it is for identity theft related issues, the IRS can take up to 120 days (4 months) to reach a resolution.

Where is My State Refund?

It’s not always easy to predict when your state refund will be coming in. With the increase of identity theft and tax refund fraud, many states have added additional security features to make sure your tax refund is delivered to the right person. In some cases, these additional measures might increase refund processing time.

Amended returns will typically take up to 16 weeks (or 4 months) for processing. This is a much longer time frame than your original filing due to the IRS having to verify additional information and making changes in their system.

If you are looking to check the status you can visit the tool below. Please note that it may take up to 3 weeks after the amended return was mailed to show up in the IRS system.
